About the Institution

      Shree Motilal Kanhaiyalal Fomra Institute Of Technology was established in 2001 by Motilal Kanhaiylal Fomra Charitable Trust who formed the Trust in the year 1995.  The instutition is owned by the Fomra family, who also own the company Fomra Electricals. The college is approved by AICTE, New Delhi, affiliated to Anna University, Chennai.  It is an ISO 9001:2015 certified Institution. Our college recently certified by NAAC with ‘B’ Grade.

About the Department: 

     The Department of Biomedical Engineering  at SMKFIT was started in the year 2005. Our department never fails to encourage and support our students to take part in extracurricular and co-curricular activities both in and out of the campus.  This department is home to faculty of excellence, exceptional students and engaged in an array of interdisciplinary medical activities. Our students have been university rank holders. From understanding the human genome to pioneering biomedical technology, SMKFIT biomedical engineering students are committed to the advancement of education and research in bio-material, sensory system, cardiopulmonary engineering, neuroscience, biomedical signal processing, imaging and biomechanics.

HEFTIC BIONS:
